GPT-4 Marks the Beginning of a New Era in AI with Mind-Blowing Features

OpenAI's ChatGPT is an advanced natural language processing tool that enables users to create interactive and personalized conversations. During a developer live stream on March 14th, 2023, Greg Brockman, President and Co-founder of OpenAI, showcased some of the advanced features of GPT-4.

Case 1: Summarize Article in One Sentence

One notable feature is the ability to summarize large texts using words that begin with a specific letter. As a fun experiment, the AI bot was asked to summarize an article into one sentence where every word started with the letter G, and it performed remarkably well.

The audience also requested a sentence from the same article where every word started with the letter Q, which is notoriously tricky, but GPT-4 was able to generate a reasonably coherent response.

These demonstrations highlight the impressive capabilities of GPT-4, which not only understands human language but is also developing its own intelligence in the background.

Case 2: Compare Articles and Blogs

For the second test case, the GPT-4 prompt was customized to ask the AI to combine ideas and identify any similarities between two articles - one from HackerNews and another from the ChatGPT blog about PyneCone. Surprisingly, GPT-4 was able to successfully identify a common theme between the two articles.

Case 3: GPT-4 as Programming Assistant

For the third task, GPT-4 was asked as a programming assistant to develop a Discord Bot. As an assistant, the latest GPT-4 AI model first generated pseudo code, beneficial in breaking down the code and identifying any issues that may arise, and then wrote the actual code.

This programming task also highlighted the limitations of the AI and showed how human input is necessary to overcome such challenges.

This task has significant implications on two fronts:

First, it shows that AI is evolving to the point where it can potentially write code entirely from scratch.

Second, it is important not to blindly rely on the AI and human input essential in guiding the AI towards achieving the desired output.

Case 4: The Vision Mode of GPT-4

GPT-4 is equipped with an explicit vision mode, which enables it to perform detailed image analysis and provide image descriptions. Additionally, the AI mode of GPT-4 not can identify characters in the image and answer certain questions such as "why is this image funny?" or "what is wrong with the image?"

The most interesting was identifying hand-drawn image. In this task activated vision mode of GPT-4 was amalgamated with the coding assistant to transform a hand-drawn markup into a functional web application.

This indicates that the advanced AI model is not only capable of processing text, but can also perform more precise image analysis and web development.

Case 5: GPT-4 as Tax Consultant

This was a unique task where the GPT-4 model was assigned the role of a TaxGPT. The AI was given a 16 pages tax problem to solve and asked to calculate the final tax amount.

The model carefully analyzed all the numerical information within the documents, as well as relevant rules and laws, and accurately calculated the final amount using its mental math algorithm.

Once again, it is important to note that this does not involve replacing tax lawyers. Instead, it aids in comprehending the document and minimizes the time required to extract information from all the legal acts.

Case 6: The Poetic GPT-4

Last but not least, GPT-4 is very much poetic. If you have a similar mind, you can ask this AI to write a rhymic poem from an article with your little creativity.

Overall, GPT-4 represents a significant advancement over ChatGPT 3.5 and is capable of tackling a wide range of complex tasks, including text and image analysis, as well as serving as a tax consultant.
